Destashing and Upcycling - Recipe Book

I have a lot of craft supplies, I like to dabble. Most I get second hand, but not all. I try to find projects to put them to use in ways that will be purposeful.

Over the past few years I have been writing down my favourite recipes in a spiral bound notebook, but it’s seen better days, so it's time for me to upgrade.

I have held onto several notebooks over the years that were primarily used at work, with the hope of at least using the paper within them. Well, one of them was perfect for this craft.

I did have to reglue the signatures to the cover, but took the opportunity to pull out a couple of the signatures, knowing my pages were going to be bulkier than what the book was originally designed for.

Using modgepodge because it was the first glue I grabbed, I glued the reduced signatures to the cover, then grabbed my stash of washi tape and scrap papers and got to work.

Using some writing paper I had in a drawer I got to writing down the recipes, and embellished the pages with tape, scrap paper and stickers, then glues those recipes into the notebook over the pages I had already written in.

For some pages that were unused or had blank sections, I just wrote directly into the book itself.

Still got a ways to go, but it's a fun relaxing project, and a great way to put neglected supplies to use, with something I will use over and over again.
